More About Mitchell

His department works collaboratively with design teams and owners to infuse projects with practical, sustainable solutions that enhance building performance. His team is engaged throughout the entire construction process, from preconstruction through commissioning and warranty, offering coordination between trades to provide safer, higher quality construction with quicker delivery. With MEP quality assurance and control top of mind, Mitchell believes that without proper planning, testing, and verification of MEP systems, buildings will never function as intended.

Mitchell has helped support projects in the Gulf States region and other AP regions, assisting MEP teams with preconstruction and startup processes, generating nearly $1.6 billion in work throughout his career at AP. He has supported teams on projects for clients such as TD Ameritrade, RTX Corporation, and QTS, and leads continuing education efforts and understanding of MEP systems for all personnel at AP. He has also incorporated several new processes and technologies at AP, such as OpenSpace, VR, Augmented Reality, and various Procore VDC tools.

Mitchell has been the recipient of the region’s We CARE award and has been part of multiple “project of the year” teams. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tulsa, received his QCxP Certification from the University of Wisconsin, is a certified Level 1 Infrared Professional, and is in the process of pursuing a certification as a Data Center Infrastructure Specialist through the Data Center Authority.
